Congya Zhang, winner of both the Global Poker Championship and Women's Event, open-raised to 50,000 from under the gun and Aren Bezhanyan three-bet to 150,000 from the next seat. Zhang called.

The flop ran out 6♣6♠J♦ and Zhang checked. Bezhanyan bet 75,000 and Zhang called to see the 2♥ turn. Zhang checked again and Bezhanyan pushed out a stack of chips to the value of 145,000. Zhang check-raised all in and Bezhanyan called.

Zhang had J♣9♣ for two pair, jacks and sixes. Bezhanyan had A♣A♥ for two pair, aces and sixes.

The river came the 10♦ and Bezhanyan held to win the pot, sending Zhang to the exit. She'll have more opportunities to make it a treble in the coming starting flights.

Hassan Nashar open-raised to 50,000 from under the gun and a short stacked player at the table moved all in for 170,000 from late position. Nashar had already announced his call before other players folded, and when it got round to him he made it official.

"Coinflip," said the late position player, although he was slightly ahead as the board was dealt. Nashar picked up a pair of queens on the 6♥K♠Q♠ flop, and the late position player stood up to leave. The A♠ turn gave him top pair, though, and he sat back down to see the 8♣ river.

Nashar lost the pot, but after firing several bullets still had a decent stack of around 2x the average to play with.
