Welcome back to Day 2 of the Merit Poker Classic $5,300 Main Event which will announce the “Shuffle up and Deal” at 1:30 PM local time here at the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino. Over the first three starting flights, there were 456 entries collected in total with 219 players making it through Day 2. The numbers of yesterday’s Day 1d and today’s Day 1e flight have not been confirmed yet by the organization and as registration remains open until 7 PM today, the final numbers will be confirmed later today.
Six levels of 75 minutes each are scheduled with a 10-minute break after the second level of play and a 20-minute break after the fourth level to allow enough time for everyone to late register or do their last reentry. When players return to the felt, they will play Level 9 which features a small blind of 1,200, big blind of 2,500, and big blind ante of 2,500.

No seat draw or chip counts for Day 1d or 1e have been received yet from the organization. Once this has been received by PokerNews, they will be posted right here.
The chip counts for Day 1d and 1e have been received and posted. Day 1d attracted 35 players of which 19 made it through to Day 2. Day 1e collected 17 entries and 11 players were able to put their chips in a bag for a few minutes before opening them up again for Day 2.
This makes it 508 entries in total over five starting days, excluding any last minute satellites that have run last night for Day 2. With the late registration and reentry open for the first four levels of 75-minutes today, the total number of entries will only go up.

Daria Feshchenko raised to 5,500 from the cutoff and was called by Hady El Asmar on the button.
The flop came on which they both checked to see the land on the turn. Feshchenko bet 6,000 and El Asmar raised to 15,000 which Feshchenko called.
The completed the board on the river, Feshchenko now check-called the 17,000 bet of El Asmar. El Asmar tabled for Feshchenko to pick up the pot with for the flopped trip aces.
