Second Pair For Guimond
Level 10
: Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Florian Guimond entered on Day 2 and quickly doubled up, thanks to a pair of kings against a flush draw. A few hands later, he opened from the hijack and received a call from Aleksandr Chernikov on the button.
On the flop 9♣3♦6♦, Guimond bet 9,000 chips into the pot. But Chernikov didn't back down and called. There was no more action on the turn A♠, as both players checked. The situation remained the same after they checked once again on the river 5♥.
First player to show his cards, Guimond revealed 10♥9♥ for a pair of nines. Seeing that, Chernikov mucked his cards.
