Jack High Isn't Good
Level 11
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Denis Kapustin, on the button, opened to 6,000. The small blind folded, and then the big blind hesitated for a long time. He eventually called.
On the flop 7♦10♥9♦, Kapustin added a single blind into the pot. He received a call from the big blind, who took the lead on the 7♣ turn, betting 13,000 chips. Kapustin called, then checked backon the river A♠.
"Jack high", said the big blind, who didn't want to show his hand J♥5♣. Kapustin flipped 10♦6♦ for two pairs and won the pot.
