Tanuri Calls For the Chips

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Naji Tanuri
Naji Tanuri

Naji Tanuri and Vladislav Ivanov were heads-up on a board of {6-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs} as Ivanov was facing a bet of 50,000 from his opponent.

Ivanov tanked for a few moments before he called. "Gimme," Tanuri said as he motioned for the dealer to slide him the chips even before he turned over {q-Spades}{8-Spades} for the flush.

"I don't need to show cards," Tanuri continued with a smile as he's now on a stack of around 1,100,000.

Secilmis Goes Runner-Runner on Al-Kubasi

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ugur Secilmis was facing a bet of 50,000 on the turn from Ali Al-Kubasi with the board showing {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Secilmis called from middle position.

The river came the {k-Hearts} and Al-Kubasi checked over to Secilmis, who pushed forward two towers of chips for a bet of 120,000. Al-Kubasi quickly flicked in a chip to call as Secilimis turned over {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for runner two pair. Al-Kubasi could only shake his head as he watched the big pot go in the other direction.

Sedat Cuts Large Chunk From M'Hiri With Nut Flush

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Action came in on the turn with the board reading {4-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. From the small blind, Chakib M'Hiri bet 45,000 into a pot that had about 130,000 in it. Reza Sadat called from the hijack.

The river was the {6-Spades}. M'Hiri led for 110,000. Sadat raised to 242,000 to send M'Hiri into the tank. It appeared as though he was going back and forth on his decision before eventually he called.

Sadat said "The nuts" and tabled the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} for the nut flush. M'Hiri shook his head and showed his beaten {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} as he lost a fair portion of his stack.

Action was on the turn with the board reading {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs}. From early position, Ugur Secilmis bet 45,000. He was raised to 130,000 by Ali Muthana Yassin Al-Kubasi who was on the button. Secilmis three-bet jammed and Al-Kubasi snap-called.

Secilmis had the {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} turned set but was up against the {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds} straight of A-Kubasi.

The river was the {k-Spades} and the stacks were counted down to confirm that Secilmis was barely covered.

Karam Survives Against Hammann

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Benjamin Hammann raised to 18,000 before Ramzi Karam moved all in for 95,000. Action folded back to Hammann, who called to put Karam at risk.

Ramzi Karam: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Benjamin Hammann: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

It was a race situation, but Karam took a near-lock on the hand as the {4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop gave him a set. Hammann hit his ace on the {a-Spades} turn, but it was too late as Karam secured his double up once the {4-Hearts} fell on the river.
