Saiapin Turns the Goods
Level 8
: Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Roman Stoica opened to 5,000 from under the gun and received calls from Dmitry Gromov on the button and Iurii Saiapin in the big blind.
The flop came 7♣6♦2♦. Saiapin lead out with a 5,000 bet that was called by Stoica before Gromov raised to 15,000. Saiapin called while Stoica got out of the way.
Both players checked the 7♦ turn leading to the 4♦ river. Saiapin bet 25,000 and Gromov did not take long to fold.
Saiapin showed that he had A♦Q♦ for the nut-flush on the turn as he took the pot.
