Ketzer Finds the Right Call
Level 34
: Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Felipe Ketzer opened to 600,000 from under the gun and was called by Dmitry Gromov on the button and Bart Lybaert in the big blind.
The flop came Q♣7♠3♠. Lybaert checked, Ketzer bet 425,000, Gromov raised to 1,000,000, Lybaert got out of the way and Ketzer called.
Both remaining players checked the 5♥ turn leading to the 9♣ river. Ketzer checked and Gromov bet 500,000.
Ketzer used a time extension before ultimately making the call. Gromov showed 9♦8♦ for a pair of nines while Ketzer turned over Q♦J♣ for a pair of queens to take a healthy pot while leaving Gromov with just under 11 big blinds.
