Gromov Doubles Through Lybaert
Level 34
: Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Dmitry Gromov moved all in from the cutoff for 3,200,000 and was called by Bary Lybaert on the button who had a covering stack to put Gromov at risk.
Dmitry Gromov: 10♦10♣
Bart Lybaert: J♣J♥
Lybaert had Gromov pipped with a bigger pocket pair and was in an excellent spot to score the knockout. He remained ahead on the 7♣9♠6♦ flop although Gromov picked up some more outs in the form of a gutshot straight draw. The A♦ turn was a brick but the straight came in on the 8♠ river and Gromov secured a full double up at Lybaert's expense.
