Basta's Aces Hold
Level 11
: Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Basel Khabbazeh raised in the cutoff before John Basta three-bet to 16,000 on his immediate left. Action folded back around to Khabbazeh, who made it 48,000.
Basta called to the 6♣8♣7♣ flop, where both players checked. Khabbazeh led out for 27,000 on the 10♣ turn and Basta tossed in the call.
Another pair of checks followed the Q♦ river, with Khabbazeh turning over A♥K♠ for ace-high. Basta tabled A♠A♦ for a pair, good enough to claim the pot.
