Shornikau Doubles on the First Hand
Level 19
: Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
On the first hand of the day Maksim Shornikau shoved from early position for 1,625,000 and Chady Ojeil called from the button.
Maksim Shornikau: A♠6♦
Chady Ojeil: 9♣9♥
Shornikau looked likely to be headed for an early shower unless he could find an ace. The board came A♦8♠4♠7♦4♣ to give Shornikau exactly what he needed, an ace on the flop to double-up.
