Big Slick Keeps Lakhov Alive
Level 20
: Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Siarhei Chudapal made to 400,000 to go under the gun and Boris Kolev three-bet to 1,100,000 from the next seat. When it got to Alexandr Lakhov in the small blind, he four-bet to 4,000,000 with 580,000 behind. Chudapal folded, but Kolev shoved to put Lakhov all in. Lakhov called for his remaining chips.
Alexandr Lakhov: A♦K♥
Boris Kolev: Q♠Q♦
If Kolev could win this hand with pocket queens, he would become one of the biggest stacks. The 2♥J♦4♥ flop kept Kolev's queens ahead. However, the A♥ turn put Lakhov in pole position, having paired his ace. The 7♥ fell on the river and around a third of Kolev's chips were sent over to Lakhov.
At another table Chady Ojeil was unable to spin up his short stack, and has been eliminated.
