Gerard Carbo Santamaria
Gerard Carbo Santamaria

The $2,200 IPO Master at the 2025 Merit Poker Dolce Vita Series has reached its climax, with only 15 players returning today to battle for the $225,000 top prize and the prestigious title inside the Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino. From a field of 730 entries, four days of action have narrowed the field to a mix of international contenders and Merit regulars, each looking to etch their name into series history.

Mahmut Sanli leads the way with 9,025,000, followed by Mohamed El-Wely with 7,675,000 and Adem Agoudjil with 7,575,000, while Joan Crespi (7,200,000) and Gerard Carbo Santamaria (6,525,000) complete a stacked top five in pursuit of the lion's share of the $1,343,200 prize pool.

Close behind are Xiaosheng Zheng and Khalil Jabra, both well-positioned to make a push toward the final table. Dutch pro David Boyaciyan also returns, while Soraya Estrada will begin as the short stack, hoping for an early double to get back in contention.

All remaining players are guaranteed $14,500, but the payouts climb quickly. A final table seat is worth $23,500, a top-three finish secures six figures, and the eventual champion will walk away with $225,000 and the IPO Master trophy.

Damir Zhugralin: 1010

Eser needed to win a flip, and got off to a great start on the 95J flop as he paired his jack. A K on the turn improved him to two pair, but also gave Zhugralin a straight draw.

No straight draw came in on the river, but the 10 did give Zhugralin a set, which ended Emer's run.

Danyel Boyaciyan

David Boyaciyan opened from middle position and Mohamed El-Wely three-bet to 725,000 from the big blind. Boyaciyan then four-bet to 1,400,000, and El-Wely called.

They saw a flop of 4Q5, where El-Wely checked and Boyaciyan shoved 1,600,000. El-Wely had a little more than that and called.

David Boyaciyan: AA All in
Mohamed El-Wely: 99

EL-Wely was at risk of having his stack decimated, and that's what happened as the 66 runout left him with just 250,000 in his stack.

Fortunately for El-Wely, he was able to quadruple up shortly after and got his stack back to 1,000,000. but it still in the danger zone.

Adem Agoudjil raised to 350,000 from the hijack and Mohamed El-Wely called in the big blind.

It was checked to the river on the 247108 board, where Boyaciyan check-folded to Agoudjil's bet of 200,000.

El-Wely showed a pair of tens with J10, but he was eliminated as Agoudjil showed a flush with Q6.
