Bezhanyan Gets the Better of Voronin

Konstantin Voronin made it 5,000 from middle position and Rauf Avci called from the small blind. Aren Bezhanyan squeezed it to 22,500 out of the big blind, and only Voronin called.

Bezhanyan fired a continuation-bet of 16,500 on the 6♠4♣A♣ flop, and Voronin called.

The 7♦ fell on the turn, prompting Bezhanyan to check. Voronin bet 15,000 and was met by a check-raise to 100,000 by Bezhanyan. Voronin leaned back in his chair and went into the tank for quite some time. After over a minute of thinking, Voronin carved out the call.

Bezhanyan jammed for his last 14,000 on the 3♣ river, and after a few moments, Voronin reluctantly called.

Bezhanyan showed the winner with A♥10♣ for top pair, as Voronin only had 8♥6♦ for a pair of eights.

Jabra Flops the Wheel

Three players saw the flop come down A♥3♠2♠. Khalil Jabra checked from the big blind and Yuxi Huang bet 5,500 from under the gun. Dawid Smolka raised to 16,000 from the next seat, which just got called by Jabra.

Heads-up now to the 3♥ turn, Jabra checked again, and Smolka fired out 25,000. Jabra jammed for Smolka's remaining 65,000 or so and Smolka called.

Khalil Jabra : 5♣4♥

Jabra had flopped the wheel and just had to fade an ace or trey on the river to virtually double up and send Smolka to the rail. The J♥ dropped on the river and all of Smolka's chips headed over to Jabra.

Smolka immediately bought back into the tournament and is now seated with a fresh starting stack of 100,000.

Dennis Krusch made it 6,000 from early position with the cutoff player making the call. Hussein Terekek jammed for 15,000 from the small blind, and Krusch moved in over the top for roughly 50,000. The cutoff player took a few moments before folding and revealing the A♦.

Terekek was far behind the pocket tens of Krusch, but the 3♣5♣3♥ flop provided him with a lot more outs to stay alive. However, the remainder of the board came Q♥6♥, and all of Terekek's stack was sent over to Krusch.

Four players saw the dealer fan out a flop of 5♥5♣9♠, where Dmitry Gromov checked first from the big blind. Michel Habib bet 15,000 from under the gun with Aleksandr Chernikov calling out of the cutoff, and Parahat Nurmuhammedov calling from the button.

The K♠ rolled off on the turn, causing Habib to check. Chernikov now took the betting lead by firing out 15,000. Nurmuhammedov quickly raised to 65,000, which was enough to get two folds from his opponents.

Fahredin Mustafov raised to 23,000 from early position with just one T-500 chip behind. The player in the hijack called and the rest of the table folded. The hijack player revealed A♣J♥ as he thought Mustafov was all-in.

Both players checked all the way to the river on the 3♠K♠7♥9♥8♥ runout before Mustafov bet his last 500. The hijack called and Mustafov revealed 6♥5♥ for a straight flush to earn him the much-needed double-up.
