Baysal Slow-Plays Aces and Busts Issa
Katherina Aristotelos raised to 175,000 from under the gun and Nebi Baysal called in the hijack. Haydar Issa also called from the small blind.
They all saw the flop of 10♦7♠8♣, where Issa moved all in for 720,000. Aristotelos and Baysal both called to see the 7♣ pair the board on the river. Aristotelos fired 375,000, and Baysal called.
When the K♦ hit the river, Aristotelos put out another small bet of 400,000. Baysal then counted out raising chips and slid in 1,500,000, but Aristotelos thought it was just a call and almost exposed her cards. After confirming the count, she went into the tank for a while and eventually folded Q♥Q♣ face up.
Issa then revealed 10♠9♥ for a pair of tens, but he was behind to the A♠A♥ of Baysal, who scooped the big pot to bring his stack to around 7,500,000.
