Chouity Has Deniz Drawing Dead
Level 31
: Blinds 75,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Aleksandr Kirichenko made it 300,000 from the hijack. Mehmet Deniz jammed from the small blind with a stack that covered both Nicolas Chouity in the big blind and Kirichenko. After looking at his cards, Chouity burned through a few of his time banks before making the call for his stack of 3,375,000. Kirichenko folded and the cards were turned over.
Nicolas Chouity: A♦Q♠
Mehmet Deniz: K♠J♠
Chouity made the right call and was ahead with ace-high. However, the K♦5♦4♦ flop gave Deniz top pair. Chouity did have a flush draw, and he managed to find it on the 7♦ turn, which left Deniz drawing dead. The 2♥ came on the river, and Chouity doubled up.
