Voronin Surges Late

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Konstantin Voronin started the day well, but lost a chunk of his stack back to starting. However, he's back with a stack of around 400,000, partly due to a hand he just played.

The board read 4Q2A with around 35,000 in the pot, both Voronin and the cutoff checked to the 10 river. Voronin then threw out 25,000, and after some consideration, the cutoff called.

Voronin then showed two pair with A4. and that was good for the pot.

Estrada Tries to Trap

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

On a full board of JKA79 with around 35,000 in the middle, Soraya Estrada checked from the cutoff. The player on the button thought for a while and ultimately decided to check it back, and was glad he did as Estrada flipped A3 for the nut flush.

The button flashed an A as he mucked, wisely choosing not to bluff. On the other hand, Estrada is up to around 300,000 now late in the day.
