Nicolae Paunescu defended his big blind to an early position Murat Bayyurt raise. The two players saw the dealer fan out of a flop of J♣3♣2♦, which Paunescu checked. Bayyurt bet 375,000 and was met by check-shove from Paunescu for 2,050,000. Bayyurt called and the cards were flipped over.
