With around 35,000 in the pot on a 9♣3♦J♦8♠9♥ board, Lappo bet 10,000 from the big blind and Nikolai Isaev made it 32,000 to go on the button. After thinking long and hard, Lappo carefully placed a chip in the pot to call.
At this point, Isaev should have revealed his cards, but instead he just mucked, which meant Lappo raked in the pot without needing to show his cards.
