Gallo Gone as Kyte Adds Chips

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Giulio Gallo
Giulio Gallo

Giulio Gallo opened to 10,000 from under the gun and Jon Kyte three-bet the hijack to 30,000. When the action was back on Gallo, he shoved around 100,000, and Kyte snap-called.

Giulio Gallo: AQ All in
Jon Kyte: AK

Gallo was in trouble against the big slick of Kyte. and the 784 flop didn't offer much in the way of help. However, there was a way out on the 3 turn as Gallo picked up a flush draw.

A queen or a diamond was what Gallo needed, but neither came on the 9 river, which meant he hit the rail.

Lappo Takes the Safe Option

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Srdan Milicevic opened the cutoff and picked up three callers in Vladimir Lappo on the button, Erdal Gulseven in the small blind, and Oleksii Shchukin in the big blind.

All four checked the 7KK flop to the Q turn, where it checked to Lappo. He then bet 16,000, which only Shchukin called.

A 9 on the river brought in all kinds of draws and after Shchukin checked, Lappo took some time before he knuckled back.

Shchukin revealed a pair of queens with Q7, but that was no good as Lappo had KJ for trips.
