Zaharagi Triples With Aces
Charbel Salloum raised to 25,000 from middle position and Safi Haidar jammed for 128,000 out of the cutoff. Maor Zaharagi called for his stack of 94,000, and after getting an exact count, Salloum called to try and bust two players.
Maor Zaharagi: A♣A♠
Safi Haidar: A♦6♦
Charbel Salloum: K♠Q♠
Zaharagi had the preflop nuts, and only a very unfortunate board would send him out of the tournament.
The dealer fanned out a flop of A♥3♦9♣ to give Zaharagi top set, and he could only lose to running cards. Salloum picked up a gutshot on the 10♣ turn, but he missed it when the 4♣ completed the board.
Zaharagi tripled up, and Haidar won the sidepot to stay alive. Salloum was left short, but he managed to win a flip with pocket jacks against Haidar's king-queen the next hand to double.
