Nikolay Fal limped in from the small blind and Vladimir Lappo checked his option from the big blind.
The flop came 7♠Q♠9♥ and Fal bet 80,000, only for Lappo to make it 220,000 to go. After a while, Fal snapped back with a flop three-bet to 680,000, and Lappo let it go.
Vladimir Lappo opened under the gun to 160,000 and Mikhail Zavoloka shoved around 600,000 from the big blind. Lappo mulled it over for a while, but ultimately decided that he had to call.
Mikhail Zavoloka: 8♠8♥
Vladimir Lappo: A♦10♣
Zavoloka had to win the flip to stay alive, and the 2♥9♣5♠ flop kept his pocket eights in the lead. However, the 10♥A♠ turn and river improved Lappo to two pair, which left Zavoloka out in fifth.
Mikhail Zavoloka and Nikolay Fal are really going at it!
Zavoloka raised under the gun to 160,000 and Fal defended his big blind.
On the 9♠10♣7♣ flop, Fal checked and Zavoloka bet 250,000. Fal then shoved 835,000, and Zavoloka snap-called.
Nikolay Fal: K♦8♥
Mikhail Zavoloka: J♠J♣
Fal had an open-ender, but two of his outs were blocked blocked by Zavoloka's pocket jacks. A Q♥ on the turn removed his three king outs as that would give Zavoloka a straight, but amazingly the J♥ fell on the river, completing Fal's straight.
Genrik Alekian shoved 550,000 from the button and Nikolay Fal took some time before he called from the small blind.
Genrik Alekian: A♥10♠
Nikolay Fal: A♣9♦
Alekian was ahead with a bigger kicker, and that was keeping him ahead through the 2♠2♦4♦ flop. However, a 4♠ on the turn meant there was two pair on board, leaving the players with the same hand.
Just as it seemed the pot would be chopped, a brutal 9♣ on the river gave Fal a pair of nines, and sent Alekian out in sixth.
Nikolay Fal opened to 120,000 from the hijack and Vladimir Lappo three-bet to 240,000 on the button. When it got back to Fal, he shoved 890,000, and Lappo let it go.
Genrik Alekian is also starting to get short-stacked as he called a few raises and fold to flop bets.
Genrik Alekian just showed a lot of respect to Bojan Berberovic.
Berberovic opened to 120,000 from the cutoff and Alekian called in the small blind.
On the A♥8♠7♦ flop, Alekian checked and Berberovic continued for 80,000. Alekian then raised to 180,000, which Berberovic called quickly.
A J♠ on the turn saw Alekian slow down with a check, then Berberovic bet 200,000. Alekian took some time to think about it, then made the fold while showing the A♣.
Genrik Alekian opened the cutoff to 120,000 and Nikolay Fal shoved 445,000 from the button. After it got back to Alekian, he took around a minute before he put in calling chips.
Nikolay Fal: K♦Q♥
Genrik Alekian: K♥J♠
Fal was ahead, and has kicker played as the 9♣2♦8♣3♥9♥ runout meant he doubled up to a million.
