Sokolovsky Hits a Milly
Level 12
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
With a lot of chips already in the middle on a board of 10♦2♠3♦5♥, Alexander Sokolovsky checked from middle position and faced a bet of 65,000 from Vedat Yilmaz in the cutoff. Sokolovsky called.
When the 4♣ completed the board, Sokolovsky moved all in, covering Yilmaz. Yilmaz instantly called for his remaining 160,000 and was shown the six-high straight after Sokolovsky tabled A♦6♦.
Yilmaz let out a loud "arghhh," which is usually a bad sign, and it proved to be one as he turned over A♥10♠ for the lower end of the straight.
Yilmaz headed for the exit, while Sokolovsky's stack climbed into seven-figure territory.
