A huge pot just went down on Table 3 between the start-of-day chip leader, Dmitrii Nazarov, and the Day 1c chip leader, Ehsan Amiri.
As recalled by another player at the table, Nazarov raised under the gun to 40,000, and because the next player to act folded out of turn, Amiri put in the same amount thinking he was the one opening the action. The wager was ruled a call, and the rest of the table got out of the way.
Nazarov checked the 3♦K♦4♣ flop, and Amiri fired a bet of 60,000, only to face a check-raise to 225,000. Amiri elected to continue via a call.
The dealer rolled off the 6♥ turn, and PokerNews was told that Nazarov bet again, choosing 275,000. Amiri once more continued with a call.
The 10♦ river completed the front-door flush, and Nazarov cut out a bet of 600,000, sending Amiri deep into the tank.
After using the majority of his time banks and spending several minutes weighing up his decision, Amiri eventually slammed in the call for roughly half of his remaining stack.
Nazarov tabled A♦9♦ for the nut flush to drag the massive pot and climb to around three million chips, while Amiri could only shake his head before moving on to the next hand.
