Tantillo Gets Away From Cracked Aces

Level 33 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Fausto Tantillo picked up {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} from under the gun and raised to 600,000. Simeon Spasov came along with {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, as did Maxime Chilaud in the big blind holding {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{9-Spades}, giving Spasov a set of nines to beat Tantillo's aces. Chilaud and Tantillo checked, allowing Spasov to bet 750,000.

Both opponents called to the {3-Spades} turn and checked to Spasov again. Spasov this time bet 2,250,000 and Chilaud quickly got rid of his top pair.

Tantillo tanked for a moment before turning over his aces and showing them to Spasov before they headed into the muck.

Chilaud Flops Trips; Jams River

Level 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Action folded around to Maxime Chilaud in the small blind and, after looking down at {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}, he limped. Fausto Tantillo woke up with {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} in the big blind and raised to 1,100,000. Chilaud called to see a flop.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and Chilaud checked to Tantillo who continued for 700,000. Chilaud opted to raise to 2,000,000 but Tantillo, a non-believer, called.

Chilaud fired again following the {2-Clubs} turn, making it 2,200,000 to go. As on the previous street, Tantillo called.

The {5-Hearts} completed the board and Chilaud jammed all in for 7,400,000. Tantillo, with less than that, thought long and hard, seemingly thinking Chilaud was on the bluff but did make the fold to stay in the tournament.

Savsa, Spasov Both Have an Ace

Level 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Simeon Spasov raised to 800,000 with {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} from under the gun and was called by both Yuksel Savsa holding {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and big blind Fausto Tantillo with {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

The {2-Spades}{6-Spades}{a-Hearts} flop save both Spasov and Savsa top pair and action checked to Savsa, who bet 1,100,000. Only Spasov called to see the {a-Spades} turn, which gave both players trips.

Spasov checked again and Savsa, with the better kicker, put out 2,700,000 this time. Spasov called once more and the {4-Spades} fell on the river.

Savsa now moved all in for 4,000,000 and Spasov, seeing four spades on the board, let go of his trip, saved from the massive cooler by the runout.

Spasov Gets A Double

Level 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Action folded around to Maxime Chilaud on the button and he open jammed for 18,400,000 with {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Simeon Spasov in the big blind held {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. After thinking for quite some time, he made the call for his tournament life.

Simeon Spasov: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Maxime Chilaud: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

It was a fair fight with a lot on the line. The board ran out {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{q-Spades}{6-Spades} to give Spasov the double and ensure action remains seven handed.

Pavlov Misclicks, Still Drills the Turn to Double

Level 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Atanas Pavlov
Atanas Pavlov

Action folded to Atanas Pavlov on the button and he put in two of the new green 500,000 chips. The floor had to be called to rule on whether Pavlov should be forced to make it 1,000,000 or 900,000 and his raise to 1,000,000 stood.

Michael Magalashvili put him all in from the big blind and Pavlov called off his last 900,000.

Atanas Pavlov: {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Michael Magalashvili: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Pavlov picked up a straight draw on the {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop and completed it when the {8-Clubs} fell on the turn. Magalashvili was able to laugh off that small hit to his stack as he paid off Pavlov once the {7-Hearts} river hit.
