Kassa Out to Matei

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The fast structure continues to pressure the shorter stacks and Getnet Kassa is the latest player to find himself heading for the door.

He moved all in for ten big blinds over a late position limp from Dante Matei, who called. When the cards were turned over, the two players were racing, with Kassa the one who needed to hit.

Dante Matei: {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Getnet Kassa: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The runout favored the pocket pair and Kassa is out, but not for long by the looks of it as he is heading in the direction of the registration desk.

Silverman Doubles Through Sohel

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

It's been a rollercoaster of a ride for Daniel Silverman today but currently is on an upward trend. He and Mohammed Sohel were facing a {7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{a-Clubs} flop and there was 22,000 in the middle. Sohel was in early position and first to act, betting 8,000. Silverman called on the cutoff and they saw a {a-Diamonds} pair the board on the turn.

Sohel barreled for 16,000 and Silverman peeled again. The last card out paired the board again with the {k-Spades} and Sohel set his opponent all in. "I think I may be buying in again," said Silverman as he made the call. It wasn't the case though, with his {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} good against Sohel's {j-Spades}{10-Hearts} bluff.

Big Stack Wars

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Two of the biggest stacks in the tournament were tangled up in a hand with the {3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop cards already dealt and 32,000 in the middle.

Umberan Akhtar was sat on the button with a 20,000 bet in front and Edgar Drozdov had raised it to 61,000. Akhtar handed the dealer his two remaining time bank cards and stood up whilst deliberating what to do.

"I have six-three" he said when he was halfway through his time. "Why would you do that with a flush draw?" he asked Drozdov, who gave no reply. He ultimately decided to fold but did indeed have six-three, which he flashed to the table. Drozdov didn't reciprocate, sending his cards into the muck.

Drozdov Unstoppable?

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Edgar Drozdov has just eliminated Dante Matei after the two players got it in on the flop in a multi-way hand.

It all began with an under-the-gun limp and a 7,500 raise from early position before Matei flatted the button, and Drozdov and Joan Hadley called from the blinds.

It was a {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} board and everyone checked to Matei who announced his all in. Drozdov insta-called on his left and everyone else moved aside.

Edgar Drozdov: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Dante Matei: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

It was top pair vs an open-ended straight draw/flush draw combo and by the time the {2-Clubs}{q-Spades} had completed the board, Drozdov had made a straight, sending Matei out the door.

Hadley Takes From Hsu

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Joan Hadley, the only woman to take a seat so far in this leg of the Tour, has just moved all in against Chia Fu Hsu on the turn with {10-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Spades}{a-Diamonds} out. Hsu called her and sighed when he saw that his {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} top two pair was behind to Hadley's set of {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}.

With no ace or queen on the {8-Hearts} river, Hadley is up into six figures for the first time. Although Hsu has taken a hit, he is still a little above the 76,000 average.

Padilha Kickered by Ponomarev

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Celso Padilha has just been seen heading towards the door and Nikolay Ponomarev spotted collecting a hefty pot at the same time. Sensing he had something to do with his departure, PokerNews headed over to ask Ponomarev what had happened and he kindly relayed that all the chips had gone in preflop with Padilha holding ace-jack offsuit to his own {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, which held.
