Jed Turnbull Eliminated in 5th Place (£2,459)

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The dramatic downturn for Jed Turnbull took final shape with his bust-out at the hands of Daniel Stancer. Turnbull had called Stancer's preflop open in the big blind to see a {4-Spades}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} flop, which they both checked. On the {7-Spades} turn, Turnbull check-raised all in (1,585,000) over Stancer's 200,000 bet. Stancer called.

Stancer: {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Turnbull: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Stancer's turned two pair held; we're down to four.

Konstantinos Patsourakis Eliminated in 4th Place (£3,275)

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Konstantinos Patsourakis' rail was just needling him with, "He's got three chips! He's going to blind out!" when he picked up a hand - {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} - and made his preflop move all in. Small blind Ali Ahmed and big blind Liam McMurray both gave him a spin, checking all the way to the river: {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

McMurray announced, "queen," and duly showed one: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}. The river had seen Patsourakis' {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} outdrawn; he exited with a "good luck, guys" as the cameras filmed his trip towards the cash desk.

Liam McMurray Eliminated in 3rd Place (£4,473)

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

It took one blind-vs-blind premium match-up to bust Liam McMurray, the chips practically flying into the middle themselves as he shoved {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} from the small blind and was snap-called by Daniel Stancer in the big blind with {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

Stancer spiked his ace on the {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{a-Spades} flop, and though some spade outs provided a glimmer of hope for McMurray with the {5-Spades} turn, the {j-Hearts} river sealed his fate.

Heads Up: Top Cash Prizes for Both, but Only One Platinum Pass

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Though both players are guaranteed a huge return on their £140 investment (£7,989 for first and £7,586 for second), only one can win the PSPC Platinum Pass and start planning their trip to Barcelona in August.

Play has paused briefly for some heads up photographs; back in action shortly.

First Decent Pot to Stancer

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

After a couple of walks, and small flop continuation-bet wins (one apiece), a pot of over a million brewed between the final two players. Daniel Stancer raised to 200,000 on the button and Ali Ahmed called. Ahmed check-raised Stancer's bet of 150,000 on the {9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Spades} flop to the tune of 450,000; Stancer called. Both players checked the {a-Clubs} turn. Ahmed led out for 750,000 on the {8-Hearts} river, and Stancer quickly threw in one chip signifying a call.

"King high," announced Ahmed; Stancer won the pot with second pair: {j-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

Final Two Players Fans of High Speed Small Ball

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Heads up is playing hands at a fair clip with few showdowns; neither player is setting foot anywhere near a time bank and it seems that they want to get the most out of playing deeper (and even) stacked. Chip-wise they're neck and neck, Ali Ahmed having won a few back after being paid 400,000 on the river of a board standing {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}. He showed down {j-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Daniel Stancer mucked.

First Four-Bet (and It's a Bluff)

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Ali Ahmed opened his button for 225,000. Daniel Stancer three-bet to 700,000. Back to Ahmed, who sat quietly for a few seconds before reaching for a full stack of black 100,000 value chips. He four-bet to 2,225,000 and Stancer passed fairly fast. Ahmed showed him {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.
