Farrell Left Himself a Single Chip in Level 4; Now Back in the Game with 35,000

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Roving reporter Willie Elliot caught this Level 4 hand from the turn, with Niall Farrell pushing the action vs. Matthew Corlett, betting 8,500 into a pot of around 13,000, the board reading {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades}{a-Spades}. Corlett made the call.

The river: {6-Hearts}. Farrell opted for the virtual all-in, taking a single blue 100 value chip from his stack and placing it on his cards before sliding the rest of his stack forward.

Corlett went deep into the tank; Farrell started talking. “Look, we both know you’ve got ace-king, the question is whether I can beat that or whether I’m at it. Actually if you’ve got aces this is one hell of a slowroll..."

After around two minutes Corlett announced “all in." Niall snap folded declaring “seven high." Corlett showed {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

At present, Farrell is on his third bullet, at a new table he intends to "angle all night" after folding and being shown a {2-Diamonds}.

Ponomarev in Search of Second Platinum Pass

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Ponomarev: Prior Platinum Pass Possessor
Ponomarev: Prior Platinum Pass Possessor

Nikolay Ponomarev has form hunting Platinum Passes, having secured one last year in the Megastack in London which sent him on his way to the PSPC in January. He's already banked an impressively lenghty string of cashes in 2019 including a win in the £2,200 Super Series in London worth £37,830 in September and is no stranger to the poker community's eyes being on him (the most controversial hand of EPT Barcelona seeing him a possible angle victim).

His table will prove worth watching: seated directly to his left are current chip leader Alan Surtees followed by Thomas Pearn.

Everybody Needs Good Neighbours

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

As re-entries mix and match the table line-ups, Daniel Scott and Paul Fowler have been sat next to each other, the former now up amongst the chip leaders. They seem to be tangling regularly, most recently both calling a late position raise to 1,800 in the cutoff and on the button respectively. All three players checked the {4-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop. On the {5-Diamonds} turn, the original raiser checked, Scott bet 3,000 and Fowler alone made the call. The river brought the {10-Spades} and a bet of 8,000 from Scott. Fowler declined to pay but was shown Scott's {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} anyway.

"You had a five too?" Scott asked, before they got into some chat about what would have happened in the parallel world where Fowler had a queen.

Harris Gains 21,300 Chips by Busting and Re-Entering

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Usman Ulhaq opened under the gun for 2,000, called by Nikolay Ponomarev in the cutoff and Thomas Pearn in the small blind, before big blind Stephen Harris moved in for his last 8,700. Back to Ulhaq, who upped it to 16,000, isolating the all in player.

Ulhaq: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Harris: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The board paired Harris' king, then Ulhaq's ace: {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{a-Spades}{6-Spades}. Harris went directly to the cash desk for a fresh stack.

Donaldson's Aces Nearly Paid

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

An under the gun open to 2,500 from Jason Donaldson was called once in position and by both blinds, building a tidy pot before the {7-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop. The blinds checked to Donaldson, who continued for 5,500, called only by the in-position player. The turn brought the {j-Diamonds} and a shove from Donaldson for 22,000. His opponent, who covered him comfortably, thought for a while before finally throwing his hand away. Donaldson tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

Richardson Gets Three Streets of Value with Flopped Set

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Michael Richardson is hovering just under six-figures stack-wise after taking down a pot vs. Andrew Tate. Caught from the {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop, cutoff Tate check-called Richardson's 3,000 bet to see the {3-Hearts} turn. Another check-call, this time for 5,500. The river brought the {j-Hearts} and a final check from Tate. Richardson fired 9,000 and this time Tate took some time to make his decision, counting down his own remaining stack (it was around 65,000). He made the call, but mucked when Richardson showed {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}.
