Stein Takes Chunk From Jaka

Sam Stein
Sam Stein
Faraz Jaka raised to 3,700 in the cutoff and Sam Stein re-raised to 10,800 in the small blind. Jason Mercier folded his big blind and Jaka called, landing a {6-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop.

Stein checked and Jaka bet 15,000. Stein called and the turn brought the {2-Hearts}. Jaka bet 38,000 and Stein moved all in for an additional 53,000. After a short time in the tank, Jaka gave it up and Stein took it down.

Jaka's Ace High is Good

Faraz Jaka
Faraz Jaka
Faraz Jaka limped in from the button. Luis "Bachy" Vazquez completed from the small blind and then Sam Stein checked in the big blind. The flop came down {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Vazquez and Stein checked. Jaka bet 3,500 and only Vazquez made the call.

The turn was the {3-Spades} and Bachy checked. Jaka checked right behind.

The river was the {7-Clubs} and Bachy checked again. Jaka checked behind and then tabled the {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Bachy couldn't beat that and mucked his hand.

Shawn Buchanan raised on the button and was called by Faraz Jaka in the small blind and Luis "Bachy" Vazquez in the big blind.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{7-Spades}{10-Spades} and Jaka checked. Bachy shoved for 25,700 and Buchanan folded. Jaka insta-called and the cards were revealed.

Jaka: {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Vazquez: {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and Bachy picked up a flush draw. However, the river brought the {A-Spades} and that was all for Bachy, out in 6th place. He wins $70,000 total after defeating his table for $50,000 and getting another $20,000 in bounties.

Raise It Take It

Aside from the Luis Vazquez elimination, this level has been pretty uneventful. A raise preflop has usually taken down the pot and the players have been keeping pots small when they do get to flops.

Big Pot Pushed Stein's Way

Glantz can't call the river bet
Glantz can't call the river bet
Sam Stein raised to 4,600 on the button and Matt Glantz called from the big blind. The flop came down a monotone {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. Glantz checked and Stein fired 5,300. Glantz took his time before responding with a raise to 17,300. Stein made the call.

The turn brought the {3-Clubs} and Glantz was first up. He deliberated and then bet 28,600. Stein made the call.

The river completed the board with the {K-Spades}. Glantz checked rather quickly and studied Stein as he tanked. Eventually, Stein fired 57,800. Glantz double checked his hole cards and counted out his stack and the chips to make the call. He then went back to his holecards and checked them a couple more times. Glantz threw up one of his hands and then pushed his cards towards the muck, not happy about the hand as Stein raked in the pot.
