It's a cloudy and rainy here day in Uncasville, CT. Luckily for us -- we'll be inside the Mohegan Sun convention center ballroom all day for Day 3 of the 2010 PokerStars.net North American Poker Tour Mohegan Sun Main Event.

When we left off at the end of Level 14 last night, the 443 players that returned to play yesterday had been reduced to 125. The top five counts at the end of the day yesterday are some names that might or might not be familiar to you: Jordan Morgan (705,100); Brazilian Firas Massouh (570,600); Vanessa Selbst (542,600); Canadian Alistar Melville (513,000); and Brandon "AreTheseUtz" Hall (491,500).

Today the schedule calls for play to last until 24 players remain, with levels lasting 75 minutes. The action resumes just after noon local time, in about twenty minutes. See you then!

Woodward Opens Wrong Bag

Matt Woodward came running a tad late to the start of the tournament and without I.D. He talked with the tournament staff and they verified that he was good to play and went over to his seat, which was at Table 1, in Seat 8. But, Woodward sat down in Seat 7 at his table and the dealer gave him his chip bag. Without looking, Woodward opened the bag, which actually belonged to Michael Woods who wasn't here yet, and emptied the chips.

He posted his ante and then the big blind before action began on the first hand. A player raised and action folded around the table to Woodward. He folded his hand as well and then Woods came over and said that Woodward was in his seat. The floor staff was called and Woodward was bumped over one seat where his bag was. He emptied his chips and began to stack them.

Woods wanted the staff to pull his bag out of the garbage and verify his chip count, minus the ante and big blind that he had posted. They did so and everything was squared away.

Interestingly enough, Woodward gets to have his big blind attacked two hands in a row now.

Karr Bluffed

Some people in the tournament room are feeling a little choppy this morning. After a recent hand we might add McLean Karr's name to that list.

There were almost 60,000 chips in the pot when we got to the table. It appeared that James Casement opened with a pre-flop raise that Karr re-raised. Casement called to a flop of {8-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {9-Hearts} and checked. Karr led out for 25,700, sending Casement into the tank. He played around with his chips for more than a minute before moving all in. His raise immediately drew a deep sigh from Karr.

"I need a count," said Karr. "I should have just shoved the flop." The raise back to him was 39,700.

"There's a little over 100,000 in there," he estimated. "The math says call but I have you on jacks or something."

"I've got ace-king here. I'm just trying to decide whether to call or not." Ultimately Karr decided to fold, prompting Casement to proudly turn up {6-Clubs} {7-Clubs} for a straight draw.

"Nice bet," said Karr. "Interesting flat with your stack size."

Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy is a man who usually lets his money do the talking. We wonder what thoughts were going through his mind after losing a battle of the blinds to Joe Nemeth.

Josephy limped in on the small blind, then called Nemeth's big blind raise to 14,000. Josephy check-called 16,700 on the {10-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {6-Hearts} flop and 35,000 on the {10-Diamonds} turn. He checked the river {K-Hearts} as well, prompting Nemeth to say, "Kings". He tabled {K-Spades} {8-Hearts}, having made a pair of kings on the river. Josephy silently tossed his cards into the muck but didn't seem pleased.

From middle position, Phil Ivey raised to 10,000. Todd Terry called out of the big blind and then the flop came down {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Terry check-called a continuation bet of 15,000 from Ivey.

The turn card was the {3-Hearts} and Terry checked. Ivey checked behind. The river was the {3-Diamonds} and Terry checked again. Ivey checked behind once more. Terry revealed the {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for sevens and threes before Ivey mucked his hand.

On a flop of {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Vanessa Rousso checked to Dennis Tuttle. Tuttle fired 15,000 and Rousso tanked for a little bit and then made the call.

The turn card was the {J-Spades} and the river was the {5-Spades}. Both players checked on both streets. Rousso saw Tuttle turn up the {A-?}{Q-?} and then she turned up her {A-?}{K-?} for a better ace high to win the pot.
