Madsen Makes His Exit

Madsen rolls out
Madsen rolls out
Jeff Madsen was crippled to 17,000. After stealing some blinds, he was up to five bigs in the big blind but folded to a raise. Dennis Phillips raised the cutoff, and Madsen also surrendered his small blind. Finally he made his only move when action folded to him on the button. Francis Vizza in the small blind overshoved (barely) for a total of 29,500. And in the big blind, Tab Duchateau made the call. "Yes!" cheered Madsen, hoping for a triple up, having picked up a far better hand than he needed to open shove the button. But he wasn't so pleased when he saw the Vizza's hand.

Showdown
Madsen: {6-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} - covered by Vizza and Duchateau
Vizza: {7-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} - covered by Duchateau
Duchateau: {A-Hearts} {3-Hearts}

"Gimme a hug," Madsen said to Vizza when they tabled their cards. And Vizza obliged. The board ran out {10-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {5-Clubs}, sending Madsen to the rail with a shake of his head. He's off to prep for his trip to Israel. He's off in a week to try to win a prop bet in which he must live in Israel until the World Series to win $50,000.
