The Ivey Train Crashes

Phil Ivey is no more
Phil Ivey is no more
Phil Ivey had about 115,000 chips in his stack due to that last loss to Travis Klein when he limped under the gun for 12,000 of it. Michael Wood was in the next seat and limped as well before action folded all the way to Elio Fox in the big blind. Fox checked his option.

The flop came down {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Fox checked. Ivey bet 30,000, leaving himself with about 75,000. Woods folded and Fox made the call.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Fox checked. Ivey pushed his last stacks of yellows into the middle and Fox announced a call. Ivey tabled {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a pair and a flush draw while Fox held {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for top pair of aces.

The river was the {8-Clubs} and not what Ivey was looking for. He stood up from the table as Fox was pushed the pot, eliminated from the tournament.
