Seiver Staunches the Bleeding

A frustrating day so far for Scott Seiver.
A frustrating day so far for Scott Seiver.
Two small pots have been shipped Scott Seiver's way. Given how things have gone for him today they probably feel like monumental victories.

First, Seiver opened from under the gun for 50,000 and was called by button player Cliff Josephy. Josephy made a quick call of another 80,000 on a flop of {5-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {J-Spades}. When the turn fell {7-Clubs}, Seiver fired again for 180,000.

"You have like 570 back, right?" Josephy asked. Seiver broke down his stack to show that Josephy was correct. Josephy took another thirty seconds to fold his hand.

The next hand, Seiver was in the big blind and called a raise to 55,000 made by Jordan Morgan. Morgan continued for 90,000 on a flop of {7-Spades} {J-Clubs} {9-Spades}, then snap-folded to Seiver's check-raise shove.
