Mercier Saved Again

Jason Mercier was all in with {Q-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}, and it didn't look good for him against Chris Moneymaker's {Q-Spades} {J-Spades}. But the flop couldn't have gotten any prettier for Mercier: {9-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {4-Clubs}. The {K-Diamonds} on the turn gave him a little sweat though, giving Moneymaker straight outs. The {7-Diamonds} was a brick, and Mercier doubled again.

Cassidy Crushing

Joe Cassidy raised his button to 3,000 and Justin Bonomo called from the big blind.

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Bonomo check-called a bet of 4,200 from Cassidy. The turn added the {10-Spades} to the board and Bonomo checked again. Cassidy fired 9,000 and Bonomo folded.

Cassidy is crushing his table and up to about 90,000. Bonomo is on 55,000.

Traheo in the House

Alec Torelli raised on the button, and Peter Eastgate three-bet. "All in," announced Torelli quickly, and Eastgate took no time at all to make the call.

Showdown
Torelli: {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs}
Eastgate: {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}

"Where's that heart monitor," asked Torelli as the dealer paused to let the cameras get into position. "Who says that poker's not a sport? You can get your heart rate up pretty high here."

The board ran out clean for Torelli: {7-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}, and he doubles to over 80,000.

Markholt Bucks Two

Alex Kamberis out
Alex Kamberis out
Alex Kamberis raised to 2,000 and Brett Richey called in the next seat. Action folded around to Lee Markholt in the small blind and he reraised to 11,000. John Hennigan called all in from the big blind for his last 2,600 and then Kamberis tanked before going all in for 36,200. Richey folded and then Markholt made the call.

Markholt: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Hennigan: {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Kamberis: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

The flop came down {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Hennigan picked up an open-ended straight draw.

The turn paired him with the {9-Spades} and put him in the lead, but the river was the {K-Diamonds} and Markholt took all the chips. He had both players covered and sent them both to the rail, moving up to about 80,000 chips.

See Ya, Sebok

Joe Sebok out
Joe Sebok out
Joe Sebok shipped the rest of his stack from the small blind with {A-Spades} {3-Diamonds} . Unlucky for him, Justin Bonomo in the big blind woke up with {10-Spades} {10-Clubs} . The {8-Spades} {7-Spades} {5-Clubs} flop was no help, but the {6-Diamonds} on the turn added gutshot outs to his three ace outs. But the river was a harmless {Q-Diamonds}, and Sebok was eliminated.

Good2Double

Andrew Robl was crippled after doubling John Hennigan. Robl soon moved all in with {J-Spades} {J-Clubs}, and Phil Galfond called with {Q-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} to put him at risk. Robl was so sure OMG was going to suck out on him that he gave Galfond his bounty chip before the dealer laid the board. But it ran out a suckout-free {K-Spades} {4-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}. Galfond tossed the bounty chip back into the pot as the dealer pushed it to Robl. He's got about 11k now.

Richey Gets Richer

John Hennigan was fresh off his double through Andrew Robl when he raised preflop. Brett Richey three-bet and then Hennigan moved all in.

"I hope you have pocket jacks," said Richey as he made the call.

Hennigan tabled a similar hand with pocket nines. Richey held the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}.

The flop came down {Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} and Richey picked up a pair of queens to take the lead. He'd need to dodge a nine or running spades, as Hennigan held the {9-Spades}, in order to stay alive.

The turn brought some extra sweat when it put the {Q-Spades} on board. The river missed Hennigan though with the {4-Hearts} and RIchey doubled up. He was all in for 29,600 and now has over 60,000 while Hennigan was left with just 4,500.
