David Miscikowski started the day in the top five in counts. Early on he crested 800,000 to take over the chip lead. More recently he fell all the way back down to about 500,000. But he's back up to more than 850,000 after a huge pot against Blake Buffington and Vanessa Rousso.
Rousso opened the action pre-flop with a raise to 12,000. Buffington called from middle position efore Miscikowski re-raised to 29,000. Rousso called before Buffington called a second time.
The flop was all small cards, . Action checked to Miscikowski. He splashed 57,500 chips into the pot, inducing a quick fold from Rousso. Buffington asked how much the bet was before calling.
Both players checked the turn. At the river , Buffington checked again. Miscikowski made a huge bet, 182,500 in total, almost the full size of the pot. Buffington deliberated 30 seconds before calling. He angrily flipped his cards into the muck and took a very long swig off a bottle of water when Miscikowski showed for the nut flush.
Despite that hit, Buffington still has 350,000. Miscikowski is back up to about 850,000.

Raymer eliminated
Daniel Abromson raied to 13,000 before Greg Raymer moved all in for roughly 130,000. Abromson tanked and eventually made the call, putting Raymer at risk.
The 2004 WSOP Main Event champion and Team PokerStars Pro member held an under pair with pocket sevens against Abromson's pocket nines.
"That's not what I wanted to see," said Raymer.
The board ran out and Abromson earned the elimination of the man they call "Fossilman." Raymer asked for Abromson's name and spelling so he could autograph a fossil and send it his way for the elimination. Abromson appreciated the gesture and walked over to shake Raymer's hand saying, "I'm a big fan of yours."
"Congrats, you got me!" was the message Raymer wrote on the fossil to Abromson.

Naohiko Yamazaki opened to 11,500, and Danny Wong quickly made it 28,500. Action folded to the big blind, Yunus Jamal. One of the shortest stacks at the table, Jamal moved al in for 66,500 on top of Wong's raise. Danny tanked for a while, counted down his stack, and made the call.

Wong sweats his double up.
After losing half of his stack a few minutes earlier, Danny Wong has been doing work. He had chipped up a bit already when he raised to 11,500 in early position. It folded around to Blair Hinkle in the big blind, who made it 31,500 to go. Wong moved all in for another 85,000. Hinkle announced a call, and they were on their backs. Not exactly a flip for Wong.

Aguiar always brings his Portugal jersey to live events
From under the gun, Jonathan Aguiar raised to 12,500. Christina Lindley was next in line and made the call before action folded around to Dmitrii Valouev in the small blind. He moved all in for his short stack of 35,500. The big blind got out of the way and then Aguiar made the call. Lindley called as well.
The three players took a flop of with Valouev all in. Aguiar and Lindley would have further action on the side. Both decided to check the flop.
The turn added the to the board and Aguiar checked again. Lindley checked behind.
The river was the and Aguiar fired out a bet of 49,000. Lindley tanked and then made the call. Aguiar announced that he had a six and tabled . Lindley mucked her hand, losing the side pot and dropping to 200,000. Valouev showed that he had a lower straight than Aguiar's with the and was eliminated from the tournament.
Aguiar makes a living off qualifying for big live events online and traveling the world playing them. The NAPT Venetian is just another stop for the young pro and he's doing well with a stack of 415,000 chips as about 100 players remain.

From the button, Brett Richey moved all in for 51,500. The small blind folded and then Phil "USCPhildo" Collins tanked in the big blind before making the call. He held and was up against Richey's .
The board ran out and Collins' king-eight kickers played with the trip fives on board. Richey was sent to the rail, but will be back in action tomorrow for the $25,000 High Roller Bounty Event. Collins moved up to about 270,000 after collecting that pot.

As the break was beginning, Daniel "amichaiKK" Makowsky found himself in a big hand. He bet out 55,000 on a board, and David Paredes called. The river was the , and Makowsky checked. Parades applied as much pressure as he could, moving all in for 105,500.
Makowsky agonized for several minutes. He counted his own stack a few times. A call would leave him with 20,000. The tournament floor emptied out for break, and finally, Makowsky folded face up. He asked Parades to show, but while sounding genuinely sorry not to be able to put him out of his misery, Parades said he'd tell him at the end of the tournament.
