Jamal Gives Some Back

Two recent pots played by Yunus Jamal ended with chips being pushed to Jamal's opponent. First Jamal took on Sam Stein, who opened pre-flop with a raise to 90,000 that Jamal called from the small blind. On a flop of {5-Clubs}

, Jamal check-called 135,000 from Stein. He check-folded for another 250,000 on the {8-Spades}

turn.

A few hands later Steve Billirakis was the pre-flop aggressor with a raise to 95,000. This time Jamal was in position when he called. The result was largely the same, however. Billirakis bet 115,000 on a flop of {Q-Clubs}

and Jamal folded.

Stein Applies Pressure

Sam Stein made it 90,000 to go from the cutoff, and Steve Billirakis jacked it to 250,000 on the button. Action folded back to Stein slowly after a few players thought about getting involved but changed their minds. They were probably pretty glad when Stein moved all in. Billirakis insta-mucked, and Stein added a nice 334k to his stack without having to see a flop.

Stein is up to 4.7 million while Billirakis has 1.6 million.
