Marchese Snaps Off Clemente

Daniel Clemente's bluff failed.
Daniel Clemente's bluff failed.
After the elimination of Eric Blair, play seemed to tighten up (the opposite of what usually happens after the first elimination). After a series of raise-it-and-take-it pots, action folded to Tom Marchese in the small blind. He opened for 190 and big blind Daniel Clemente called.

Marchese continued his aggression with a bet of 215,000 on a flop of {7-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {2-Spades}. Clemente called. Both players checked the {K-Diamonds} turn and Marchese also checked the {K-Spades} river. Clemente tried to buy the pot with a river bet of 300,000 but Marchese was there to look him up. Clemente's tabled hand was queen-high; Marchese took the pot with a pair of sevens.
