Joe Sweeney raised from middle position to 1,200 and Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov called from the hijack seat. In the small blind was Jonathan Jaffe and he reraised to 3,800. Another Team PokerStars Pro, Jason Mercier, folded from the big blind before Sweeney and Katchalov made the call.

The flop came down {J-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Jaffe fired 4,800. Sweeney ducked out of the way and Katchalov called to see the {9-Clubs} fall on the turn. Jaffe bet again, making a wager of 7,000. Katchalov studied for a bit and then raised to 20,000. Jaffe took a minute or two and then gave it up. Katchalov scooped the pot.

Joe Sweeney made it 1,000 to go from under the gun. Next next to act, Micah Raskin popped it to 4,000. Action folded back to Sweeney and he called.

The flop came down {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} and Sweeney checked it to Raskin who fired 4,000. Sweeney put in a raise to 13,000 with Raskin calling to see the {4-Clubs} turn. A check from Sweeney led to a check from Raskin as well. The {10-Clubs} hit the river and Sweeney fired 15,000. Raskin let it go and surrendered the chip lead to Sweeney.

From the Rail...

Level 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

In between the last two hands, a spectator stood up and took one step toward the table. "Jason?" he asked. Mercier's head snapped around, and the fan continued, "Jason, can you send me five bucks on Stars? Please?"

Chuckles all around.
