Marsico Hero Calls the River
Level 10
: Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
The player in the hijack raised to 3,200 and Michael Marsico flatted on the button. Michael Hakami then three-bet to 11,600 from the small blind, resulting in a fold from the hijack and a call from Marsico.
The flop rolled out 10♠Q♣K♣ with Hakami continuing for 10,000 and Marsico putting in the call.
The A♥ turn slowed down the action and both players checked, bringing the 9♥ river.
Hakami fired out a bet of 20,000 and after some thinking, Marsico flicked in the call.
"You win," said Hakami, as he tabled pocket eights. Marsico turned over K♦Q♦ for two pair, kings and queens, to take down the pot.
