Matthew Edge
Matthew Edge

Action was picked up on the flop with the board showing 6610 and roughly 15,000 in the pot.

After the flop a player in the hijack checked to Matt Edge who bet out 3,000. Then a player in the hijack raised all in for his stack of 24,700. After thinking over his decision for over a minute, Edge found the call to put his opponent at risk.

Hijack: AK All in
Matt Edge: QQ

Edge was ahead with his pocket queens but would need to fade the two over cards, and the flush draw of his opponent. But when the board ran out 9 on the turn and 2 on the river, the pocket queens of Edge were still best, to take the pot and eliminate his opponent.
