Reid 'em and Weep

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Terrance Reid
Terrance Reid

There were coolers yesterday as the $550 Mystery Bounty event kicked off, and things haven't gotten any warmer today.

Toward the end of Level 1, Terrance Reid played a three-way pot on a board of 4J10 and bet 2,000 as Tom Dean called from the small blind.

Dean checked on the 5 turn and Reid bet 6,800. Dean check-raised to 15,000 and Reid quickly moved all in as Dean called off even quicker with his stack of 26,700.

Tom Dean: A6 All in
Terrance Reid: K3

Reid had flopped the second nuts but was drawing stone dead against the ace-high flush of Dean before the meaningless K river as groans circled the table.

Before the start of play, Reid told PokerNews that he lost most his stack in a similar fashion in last night's Day 1b with the second nut flush.

Around 8,000 was already in the pot as three players went to the turn on a board of AQ6Q. The button then bet 4,500, Shawn Buchanan folded in the small blind, while Jacques Davidson called in the big blind.

The river was the 4 and Davidson, munching on a sandwich, tossed out a bet of 8,600. His opponent quickly flashed the A and mucked.

"There's something menacing about a guy eating a sandwich while he bets into you. Almost like a super villain," tablemate Terrance Reid said.
