Action Underway in Event 1 $550 Buy-In at the Pennsylvania State Poker Championship
The Opening event at the Pennsylvania State Poker Championship continues with Day 1c of Event 1 $550 Buy-In at 11:15 a.m. local time at Live! Hotel and Casino Philadelphia. The PokerStars sponsored tournament will feature a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool, with seven Day 1 starting flights, taking place over four days. Players who advance from each flight will combine and return for Day 2 on Sunday, August 25, where a winner will be crowned.
Day 1a and 1b of this event took place Wednesday August 2. Day 1a saw 91 entrants and 12 players bagging and advancing to Day 2. There were 83 entrants in Day 1b, and 11 players advanced to Day 2. The leader from Day 1a was Donald Stchley (373,500) and Wen Zhang bagging the most chips in Day 1b (449,000)
