Lonis Soars with a Classic Coin Flip Victory
Level 18
: Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jesse Lonis raised to 18,000 in middle position and Johan Schumacher three-bet to 55,000 in the hijack. The action folded back to Lonis who four-bet shoved all in. Schumacher instantly called off his stack of around 330,000 and the cards were on their backs.
Johan Schumacher: A♥K♠
Jesse Lonis: Q♠Q♥
It was a classic coin flip that favored Lonis on the J♣4♦3♦3♠J♠ runout, leaving his pocket queens as the winner. Lonis stacked up another healthy pot to climb into seven figures and Schumacher was forced to the payout desk.
