The Big Event at The Bicycle Casino

Welcome to the first starting flight of tables in The Bounty Shootout at The Bicycle Casino. PokerNews is here in Bell Gardens, California to bring you all of the action from first four tables of play. The field is capped at 81 players with the first 36 playing today and the next 45 playing tomorrow. The final table from all of the winners will commence on Saturday.

Some of those lined up to play today are Faraz Jaka, Chris Moneymaker, Kathy Liebert, David Williams, Shaun Deeb, Jonathan Duhamel and Jennifer Tilly. There's plenty other big names playing, but you're going to have to wait until things kick off later on to find out who else is in the mix along with the table draws.

The buy-in for this event was $10,000+300 and each player that wins his or her first table will receive $40,000 in prize money. During the first stage of the tournament, each bounty will be worth $2,000. At the final table on Saturday, the bounties are increased to $10,000 a head and the winner will walk away with $171,700. If you are the player who collects the most bounties throughout the entire event, you'll walk away with $20,000 in extra prize money.

Play is set to begin at 12:00 PM here at The Bike, so stay tuned for all the updates coming straight to your computer screen!

Delays

As with most televised poker events, this one hasn't started on time. There's a lot that goes into production for these events and their shows, but that's not usually the reason for the delays. Almost always, the production company tells the players to get to the event well ahead of start time, but these are poker players and they don't like to get up early or show up on time. A couple more players are still on their way in while all of the late arrivals are finishing up all the requirement paperwork before things kick off. Things should kick off shortly.
