Isabelle Mercier was one of the players to not return from dinner break. She seemed disappointed that her second bullet was not successful after running it up to 100,000 before busting out of the tournament. Overall the TonyBet Ambassador appeared to have a good experience, winning her first ever OFC tournament in the Progressive Pineapple event on Sunday.
The final figures are in, and coming back from dinner break we have 118 entrants in the tournament with 40 players remaining. Each point is now worth 1,500 chips, however, it will not go up to 2,000 a point for 45 minutes as the amount of time per blind level has been extended.
We are now on a 1 hour dinner break. When play resumes, late registration will be closed. We are currently at 115 entrants with 54 remaining, however, this number should grow by the time the break ends.
It will be curious to see how many players re-enter or enter for the first time and whether last year's entrant figure of 135 will be surpassed. Points will be valued at 1,500 chips each when play resumes.
While the TonyBet OFC Championship Main Event takes place in Prague, Czech Republic, only one Czech player remains. Jan Stefek appears to be representing his country well and in good spirits with more than double the 30,000 starting stack with 65,000 chips.
Stefek already has a cash in this series, taking fourth place in the Progressive Pineapple OFC event for €3,000. In total, the Czech has over $60,000 in Hendon Mob tracked live tournament cashes, with his biggest to date coming in August 2015 when he took second place in the Czech Poker Tour Main Event for Kč 429,000 ($17,541).
Two of the players in yesterday High Roller in Michael Friedrich and Evgeny Kocherov are battling it out on the same table. Kocherov now has about 34,000 chips, however, he shared with us he is on his third bullet.
Friedrich is having a bit more success, up to 70,000 chips without needing to re-enter to do so.
Last year's OFC Championship Main Event winner is a man of his word as he just re-entered the tournament. He now has a fresh stack of 30,000 chips at a new table.
Jennifer Shahade was only able to partially benefit from Blomlie's exit, with her stack increasing up to 90,000 chips.
