Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Matt Moss raised to 600,000 from the hijack and Phil Ivey defended the big blind.

Ivey started with a check, and Moss tossed out a bet of 425,000 into the middle. Ivey check-raised to 1,300,000, and Moss continued in the form of a call.

The K turn checked through for the 2 to appear on the river. Both players checked again, and Ivey took down the pot with 95 for trip nines. Moss mucked QJ for a pair of jacks.

Matt Moss Eliminated in 6th Place ($520,000)

Level 19 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Matt Moss
Matt Moss

Jesse Lonis made it 700,000 from the hijack and Matt Moss ripped it for 5,550,000 from the big blind. Lonis spent a considerable amount of time in the tank, and ultimately, he decided to call, putting Moss at risk.

Matt Moss: J10 All in
Jesse Lonis: KJ

Lonis' pondering had been worth it as he was up against Moss' inferior hand, and just needed to fade a ten or some clubs to become an overwhelming chip leader with five left.

No help came for Moss on the 35AQ2 runout, and Lonis' king-high won the pot, sending Moss to the rail in sixth place.

Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Jesse Lonis raised the button to 1,100,000 and Phil Ivey called from the big blind.

Ivey knuckled the action over to Lonis on the 478 flop and Lonis checked it back.

The 10 appeared on the turn, causing Ivey to bet 1,500,000. Lonis jammed for Ivey's remaining 5,825,000, and Ivey immediately called.

Phil Ivey: 107 All in
Jesse Lonis: J10

Ivey was ahead with two pair against the top pair of Lonis, and just needed to dodge an unfortunate river to double.

The Q river didn't help Lonis, and Ivey doubled up to over 17,000,000 chips.

Jamil Wakil Eliminated in 5th Place ($670,000)

Level 21 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Jamil Wakil
Jamil Wakil

Jamil Wakil limped from the small blind and Jesse Lonis checked his option from the big blind.

The dealer burned a card and put out the flop of 5K3, which got a check from Wakil. Lonis bet 750,000, and Wakil continued with a call.

Wakil check-called another bet from Lonis on the 7 turn, this time for 1,800,000.

A 5 rolled off on the river, causing Wakil to check for the last time. Lonis took a few moments, then jammed for Wakil's stack of 11,300,000.

Wakil was visibly distressed by his situation, and burned through the majority of his time banks thinking it over. In the end, he slammed in the call.

Lonis flipped over the winning hand with 42 for a straight draw that backed into a flush. Wakil tabled AK for a pair of kings and headed to the cashier's desk to collect his fifth-place payout.

Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

For the first time on the final table, Phil Ivey limped the button. Maher Nouira completed from the small blind, and Jesse Lonis checked his option from the big blind.

The action checked to Ivey on the Q64 flop, and Ivey bet 800,000. Nouira tossed his cards away, but Lonis called.

A 10 dropped on the turn and Lonis check-called a bet of 2,000,000 from Ivey.

The 2 river checked through and Lonis turned over 76 for a pair of sixes. This was second best to the pair of sixes with a higher kicker of Ivey holding 96.

Jesse Lonis called from the small blind with Q4 and Rob Yong checked from the big blind holding 76.

Lonis led out for 800,000 when the Q72 flop came down, and Yong continued in the form of a call.

The 4 turn caused Lonis to check, which allowed Yong to bet 1,600,000. Lonis check-raised to 4,900,000, and Yong called to see a river.

Lonis jammed the 3 river and Yong went into a rare tank. Yong had 12,075,000 remaining in his stack, and after around a minute of pondering, returned his cards to the dealer, and the pot went over to Lonis.

Yong Survives His First All-In Today

Level 22 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Rob Yong
Rob Yong

Rob Yong limped from the small blind and Phil Ivey raised to 1,900,000 from the big blind. Yong limp-jammed for 12,900,000, causing Ivey to go into the tank. After around two minutes, Ivey called for about half of his stack.

Rob Yong: AQ All in
Phil Ivey: A10

Yong was all-in at risk for the first time on Day 3, and just needed a safe board to double through Ivey.

The Q2J flop gave Yong top pair, but Ivey had a straight draw. Ivey picked up some more outs on the 8 turn, but the 7 river didn't provide Ivey with a straight, and around half of his chips were sent over to Yong.

Level 23 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Maher Nouira
Maher Nouira

Maher Nouira made it 1,700,000 from the button and Rob Yong called from the big blind.

The dealer spread out the flop of 358, and Yong checked. Nouira bet 3,000,000 and was met by an instant shove by Yong. Nouira had 15,500,000 remaining in his stack, and quickly called.

Maher Nouira: A8 All in
Rob Yong: K8

Both players had top pair, but Nouira's ace-kicker had him out in front. The A turn gave Nouira two pair, and left Yong drawing dead as the irrelevant 10 hit the river.

Nouira doubled up to the chip lead, while Yong was left with under ten big blinds.

Rob Yong pushed his stack of 5,000,000 across the betting line from the cutoff, and Jesse Lonis called from the big blind to put him at risk.

Rob Yong: Q2 All in
Jesse Lonis: AJ

Yong came into today as the chip leader, and now was on the verge of being eliminated. The J8A flop propelled Lonis into the lead with two pair, and Yong needed running cards to survive. Yong picked up a flush draw on the 5 turn, but the 2 river was a brick.

Yong headed to the rail in fourth, and the remaining three players went on a short break.
