Joni Jouhkimainen was getting up from his seat and his stack was being pushed over to his table neighbor, Sean Rafael.
The chips got in on a 10♦4♦J♠ flop with Rafael holding A♦9♣J♣5♦ for the nut flush draw. An 8♦ on the turn completed that flush, and Jouhkimainen's hand was already in the muck by the time the 8♥ hit the river.
"I can still rebuy right? I'll be back," said Jouhkimainen.
Phil Ivey opened the button to 105,000 and Andriy Lyubovetskiy called out of the big blind.
The flop came 6♥5♦7♣, where both checked to the J♠ turn. Lyubovetskiy led out for 90,000, which Ivey called to see the Q♥ fall on the river. Lyubovetskiy didn't slow down, as he fired 250,000, and Ivey called without much hesitation.
Lyubovetskiy flashed 6♠6♦ for a set, but Ivey held A♥8♥5♣4♥ for a flopped straight to scoop the pot.

On a flop of A♦2♥10♦. Ben Lamb had his stack of around 1,100,000 in the middle and at risk against Martin Dam.

Lamb had a flush draw along with the inside wrap, and was up against the flopped set of Dam. The 9♣ on the turn added a few more outs for Lamb, but the 5♠ river bricked out, which left him on the rail.
"Gargamel" limped in from under the gun and Mikalai Vaskaboinikau raised to 100,000 in the big blind. "Gargamel" called.
They went to a flop of 2♣7♦5♦. where Vaskaboinikau checked and "Gargamel" bet 100,000. Vaskaboinikau then potted it, which earned him the pot as his opponent folded.
Vaskaboinikau stormed through the field yesterday and eliminated multiple people on his way to bagging the chip lead, and seems keen to continue his hot run.
On a board of 4♦9♦6♥3♥2♦, Phil Ivey had a pot-sized bet of 1,100,000 out in front of him, with Artur Martirosian in the tank deciding how to proceed.
After mulling it over, Martirosian did find the fold, and Ivey's stack grew to around 3,600,000.
So far, nobody has been eliminated at the half-way mark of the first level. A reminder that registration will close at the start of Level 10, which is around 4:20 p.m.
Martin Dam limped in from the cutoff and then called a raise of 110,000 from Jonas Kronwitter, who was on the button.
They went to the Q♠2♠3♣ flop where Dam checked and Kronwitter fired 140,000. Dam came with a blazing raise to 420,000, which got Kronwitter to snap-fold.
