Yong Shows the Bluff
Alex Kulev raised to 20,000 from under the gun, and only Rob Yong called on the button.
Kulev check-called bets from Yong on the 8♦J♥10♠ flop and J♣ turn. The first was for 35,000 and the second for 60,000.
Kulev checked for the last time on the 5♥ river, and Yong, while having his neck and earlobe massaged, wasted no time in overbet shoving. Kulev had the effective stack with about 443,000 and went deep into the tank.
Deliberating for quite some time and burning through his time banks, Kulev was clearly put in the blender by Yong's bet. In the end, Kulev folded, and as Yong stacked up his newly acquired chips, he said to Kulev, "Good fold, what did you have?"
"Queen-jack," replied Kulev, which would have been trips.
That was music to Yong's freshly massaged ears, as he tabled 7♣6♠ for total air before adding, "Good fold for me."
