Wang Staging Comeback; Doubles Game

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

For a while there, it looked as though Yang Wang could be in trouble, but things have been going swimmingly for the Chinese player since that previous double through Ivan Leow with queens versus tens earlier. The two have clashed in a couple of hands that Wang won to seize the lead, but some of these have just gone the way of Wenling Gao.

The two got all the chips in on the turn after Wang defended his big blind against a Gao late position open, though we are unsure on the exact betting. The community cards were spread {7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and the two got into a raising war that saw all the chips go in.

Wenling Gao: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Yang Wang: {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

Gao was at-risk but in front and while Wang thought he had got lucky on the {3-Spades} river spiking two-pair, this gave Gao the nut flush and she doubled while Wang dropped some of his recently acquired chips.

All that action brought the final table to a 10-minute break and here's how they are stacking up:
