Free Whelan Or Freerolling?

It's yo-yo time for Maurice Whelan, he opened for 33,000 with about 70,000 behind and Declan Connolly pushed. Whelan tanked for ages before calling with {2-Clubs} {2-Spades}, a strange raise-induce we thought but he was ahead, barely against {A-Spades} {K-Clubs}.

The board came {A-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {5-Spades} {Q-Spades} {Q-Hearts} to the delight of the Connolly fan club and Whelan was left with 6,000.

This went in next hand where his {K-?} {9-?} held in a three-way pot and he trebled through. He then chopped {A-?} {5-?} against {A-?} {6-?} to win a few more antes.

After this he was all-in with {A-Hearts} {4-Hearts} against Tom Hanlon's {A-Clubs} {5-Clubs} and somehow manage to win when the board came {2-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {3-Spades} {J-Spades} {5-Hearts} before getting all-in again with {K-?} {Q-?} against {K-?} {Q-?} for another chopped pot.

He's now back up to about 85,000.
