With the board reading {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{J-Hearts}, Chino Rheem bet 25,000 into Bruno Stefanelli. After a few moments Stefanelli called and Chino said, "You got it, king high."

Loeser Claims the Lead via Dolan

Manig Loeser
Manig Loeser

Manig Loeser raised to 5,200 from middle position and John Dolan called from the small blind. The flop came down {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and both players checked to see the {3-Spades} pop off on the turn.

Dolan fired the turn for 6,500 and was called by Loeser. The river then completed the board with the {10-Diamonds}. Dolan fired 12,600 and was raised to 34,600 by Loeser. After a couple minutes in the tank, Dolan mucked and dropped to about 78,000. Loeser moved up to a field-leading 270,000.

Everyone knows about Dolan by now, who is one of the November Niners for 2010, but not many know about Loeser. He missed out in the final table of the WSOP Main Event by 171 spots, coming in 187th this year for $48,847. Later in the month of July, he won the €1,000 Main Event at the European Masters of Poker II in Bulgaria. His win was good for €49,080. He chopped when three-handed, but went on to win the event and take the most money, besting a field of 260 entrants.

Meryumoglu with a Big Overshove

Mustafa Meryumoglu limp-called a preflop raise from Dominik Nitsche to put about 11,500 in the pot. THe flop came down {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Meryumoglu open-shoved all in for 54,400. Nitsche was puzzled and asked what Meryumoglu was doing.

More Antics with Peltekci and Marcus

The boys having a good time
The boys having a good time

As we just mentioned, things have gotten quite loud and obnoxious at Van Marcus' and Rob Peltekci's table. The tournament director just came over and gave them a warning, along with reminding them about the gaol at hand and that they should try and focus. This was because a couple of the players at the table complained about their antics.

"How about this, we'll calm down if everyone at the table agrees to take a shot," Marcus said.

Peltekci then said, "Let's go, I'm going to kill everyone now. You wanna complain about me, now I'm going to take all the chips."

Time for Shots

Rob Peltekci has had an up-and-down day while Van Marcus has had an up-and-up day. They're now seated at the same table and loving life. Both have had a few cocktails, making things more interesting and they just order a couple shots of vodka. This should get good, real good.
